The STORY

Maternal Traditions was born with my third daughter, carried through a wild pregnancy and welcomed in a free birth. That sacred passage became my teacher, showing me truths that reshaped my path and called me into the work of Birth Keeping.

Now I walk beside women as a mentor with WPCTS and as an educator on the Artemis Birth Attendant Course—holding space for those who hold space.

I am a mother of four, an infant nutritionist, and a home-educating mother. I am also writing my first book, sharing the unfolding of my own journey from maiden to motherhood and beyond. Alongside this, I tend to Earthly Traditions—fortnightly gatherings for home-ed families, rooted in creativity, community, and connection to the earth.

I believe birth is sacred, that women carry an ancient knowing, and that when we are trusted and undisturbed, we rise. My calling is to help women remember this truth—

“That birth is natural, birth is powerful, and birth is yours.”

  • Postpartum Doula

Lucinda is a mother of four and a breastfeeding specialist. She had a free birth last year. Both have trained as doulas with 'When Push Comes To Shove' and are now part of the growing community of maternity experts.

“I am a Mother, my most sacred role. I use my intuition to connect with women, to give them the confidence to trust in their own inner knowing. I am a guardian of birth and a master of lactation. I have a deep passion for reigniting women with maternal traditions. “

“Connecting modern methods with wisdom of the past is how we rewrite the story of birth for our children.”
